Cozy Room Ideas: My Book Cart

Alright- what's cozier than reading a nice book? Look at books is something I also really like and I think the bookstore aesthetic is pretty cozy too... so that is kind of what I went for with this Book Cart! It's convenient, cozy and it kind of inspires me to read and write... so I just really like it.

So I've had this cart that I got from Costco. They sell carts like these everywhere. Target, Costco and Ikea have them pretty cheap... craft stores also have them and I feel like they're pricier at craft stores... but these are easy to find and they're easy to assemble. I actually put these together myself.

So I had this for a while and it was just sort of filled with stuff that didn't belong there... so I cleaned it up- got rid of some things put other things in better spots... and I put books on it! It wasn't that difficult either once I got started I kind of liked it!

I filled it mostly with books I haven't read yet. Some books didn't fit on there- but a lot did and they're easy enough to get in and get off... and I can put them on my bookshelf or pass them along when I'm done reading them. I like the way these look together on this book shelf plus it's easy to keep track of what I still need to read.

I also have the Princess Diaries series on here- those were my favorite books when I was growing up and I still like rereading them- so this is easy for me to reread them and I just kind of like looking at these too. This just makes it nice and easy for me to grab and read them.

Alright that is everything!

Star Wars Day Favorites

Okay guys! Here I'm going to talk about some of my favorite Star Wars Things because It's Star Wars.

So first off I should show you guys what I got today... I'm a huge fan of the T Shirt designer Johnny Cupcakes. My sister used to go to Boston College and she went into this bakery one day all excited to get some cupcakes... only to discover that it was actually a really cool T shirt store! And they have really cool Pop Culture T Shirts. I actually got one for Animal Crossing recently, I have ones with Eve from Wall E, Hello Kitty and Starlord... and I got this "Baby Yodel" T Shirt. These are limited edition t shirts that he makes "Baked to Order" So when you order it's more like a pre order. You can order them for a certain amount of time- usually it's about a week or two- these ones are until Thursday... so I'll link it right here just in case you wanted to get it.

But anyway it's super cute and it's Baby Yoda!

this is the Animal Crossing one- which is no longer available.

The Mandalorian BTW is probably my favorite Star Wars thing recently. It's a really good show! I'm actually thinking of watching it again because I loved it but I don't totally remember it all that well... so I think I need to re watch it... but I think my favorite TV moment recently was the scene at the end of the first episode where we get to see The Child for the first time. It was just SOOOO unexpected and there was NOTHING before letting us know about it... and the episode itself was good on it's own... but then Baby Yoda came in and it was like a whole different thing. And the character did add to the show. It was a really great change!
My favorite Star Wars Character? Han Solo! Han Solo was my first crush as a kid... and I still 100% love Han Solo. He's grumpy but sweet and loyal... plus he's fighting for what's right but he's also kind of selfish... he's a surprising character and you never really know what to expect from him. And he's maybe one of the smartest in the series... Leia probably is... but I like Han Solo the best.

My favorite Star Wars Movie... I think it's Return of The Jedi! This isn't the best Star Wars Movie... I think The Empire Strikes Back  is the best Star Wars Movie... but my personal favorite is Return of The Jedi. I love when Leia saves Han Solo! I think that seeing the whole original trilogy is the best way to watch it and Return of The Jedi is just a really great conclusion to the series. I feel like if I just catch it on TV though without watching the other 2- I don't like it that much... which is why I say Empire is the best one... but Return of The Jedi is my favorite.

Do I like the new movies... Yes. I find these easier to watch than the original trilogy... the only one that I really didn't like at all was Rogue One. The Last Jedi... I can see why people didn't like it. I get their opinion- but I just kind of liked the movie for some reason. Do I think they needed to send Finn and Rose on their mission... no- but I actually enjoyed that little sub plot for some reason. I know it's an unpopular opinion... but I thought it was pretty good. And I like Rise of Skywalker better than that one. I also liked Solo.

Also I've never been to Galaxy's Edge BUT I REALLY WANNA GO!  I'm sure I'll go within the next couple years... but it just looks like so much fun. I'm probably going to go broke because I'll build a lightsaber and a droid and I'll buy all the silly little things that you have to buy... stuff I don't need to enjoy the land but... I totally want because I'm a huge Disney Nerd and a huge Star Wars Nerd.

So... I think I'm going to watch The Force Awakens tonight because I've seen the original trilogy a million times as a kid- but I've only seen The Force Awakens a few times, and The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker I've only seen once... it seems crazy! But I love it!

May The Force Be With You!

Tip Tuesday: How To Catch Snapping Turtles In Animal Crossing New Horizons

I'm not an expert on Animal Crossing New Horizons, but I think I found a good trick to catching Snapping Turtles... and it helped me catch a lot!

I got a ticket to a mystery island- and I wasn't really on a Special Island (even though I always try clapping at Orville to get a special island lol.) Anyway I was on the waterfall island and I kept fishing and all I got was trash! I had caught a few smaller fish but then after that it was just trash. I happened to have some fish bait so I thought "Okay, if I use this I'm guaranteed to catch a fish right?" After that I got almost ALL SNAPPING TURTLES!

I heard that you have to scare all the fish away for snapping turtles to spawn- so once you start catching a lot of trash- that's a good sign that there are no fish left, so if you use your fish bait you can probably catch some snapping turtles.

Crafting the fish bait is super easy- but I think you can only craft it on your own island. The only thing you need are clams- which you can dig up in the spots on the beach that have little holes spouting water. Craft those and make sure to bring them on your island tour because they're very useful and I haven't found any clams on a mystery island!

Snapping turtles are worth 5,000 bells I think... and I think I caught 6 of them so that's 30,000 bells! If you go on a day where CJ's on your island you could get a little more or you could give 3 to CJ so that Flick can craft you a Turtle Statue.

So yeah there's my tip for animal crossing. I hope you guys like this! Let me know what other tips you'd like to see on Tip Tuesday!

Movie Monday: Onward

Alright- so I'm not sure if I'm going to alternate between Movie Monday and Marvel Monday the way that I used to... but I've watched some Disney Movies so I will have some of these Movie Monday's Coming up so... yeah.

Anyway- let's get to one of my new favorite Pixar movies- Onward! So I've seen this movie twice now- once in theaters and once on Disney Plus the day it was released on Disney Plus and this was actually the last movie I watched in theaters when things were still normal! I really loved it as you might be able to tell and I just thought it was a sweet and heartwarming movie!

Onward centers around 2 Brothers living in a fairy tale world that started using technology more than magic. The older Brother Bartley is Daring and loves the old lore of the magical world they live in and his brother Iain is an awkward teenager just trying to survive high school. On Iain's 16th birthday he gets a special gift- a Wizard Staff from his late father and a spell that promises to bring him back for 24 hours. Of corse when Iain and Bartley attempt the spell things go awry and they only bring back their dad's legs. So they need to go on a quest in order to get what they need to bring the rest of him back to life for whatever time they can with him.

The quest itself was really fun. Iain and Bartley were both really fun characters to follow and we got to see the very magical universe that they lived in... which I would love to see more of btw! If they did a sequel or like a show on Disney Plus in this universe- I'd totally watch it! It's such a fun world! It was also fun to see the dad's legs... lots of physical humor there that just made me laugh a lot. It's a really funny movie besides being heartwarming and fun to watch. As I said- it's one of my favorites from Pixar.

One of my favorite things in movies is when everything is used. Basically every line and every joke had some greater significance in the movie that lead to a really exciting and fun ending. It was very consistent and it just made everything tie together in a nice, satisfying way. Like the brothers buy Cheetos at a gas station, and that's significant later on in the movie! Who would think that?

Anyway that is everything! Definitely check out Onward, right now it is available to rent digitally as well as on Disney Plus! Worth checking out for sure!

Bye!

An Update: Still The Cozy Princess- but not just disney.

Hey guys! Sooo... I love this blog and I really miss writing here. That being said... I think I'm going to expand this blog to be more than just Disney Posts. I am still very inspired by my love of Disney... but I do have some other loves that I feel like might fit on this blog a little bit better than my other blog.

I might talk about Harry Potter on here... I think I'm going to talk about my Nintendo Switch games and Animal Crossing New Horizons here because I've been LOVING that game right now. I might focus a little bit on the "cozy" aspect of this blog too... maybe I'll talk about some books and tv shows that aren't just Disney related. I'm not quite sure!

So I've got some ideas on things to post here- I still think I'll post on my other blog and I think I'll do more reviews on that blog... but especially now I want to focus on things that are cozy and things that just make me happy and things I think are magical.

I hope you guys are excited! I'm excited about this!

Funko Friday: 10 Inch Ezra and Madam Leotta Funko Pops

Alright, so here's the pop I was looking for- the 10 inch Ezra! I also got the Madam Leotta- so I'll talk about her too!

But first and foremost- Ezra! I was up early when this was released online and I could have grabbed it then but decided not to... and I wasn't sure if they would restock these or not... but they did and I was actually able to get this on my birthday! So it was especially good! Anyway- I love the 10 inch figures, I love the ghostly blue color that they made Ezra, I love his little hat and his bald head... it's just a really great pop! I am also weird and I rub his head for luck before I leave my room or after I enter my room sometimes... and I think it's working!

And Madam Leotta- probably my favorite character from the ride! I love that she's a head without a body. It looks a lot like the ride and its just really detailed, and colorful! I also really like any pop with a dome on it... I just really love this one!

So that is it... the only problem with me picking up these 2 pops is that now I only have a few more pops that I'd need to get to finish this set... so I might try to do that.... but still- I love these and I'm excited about it!

Funko Friday: Kevin With Up House

So I want to do a few more of these Funko Friday posts because I do have a lot of Funko Pops and I do like getting the Disney ones specifically!

This one I thought would be sold out when I went to Boxlunch- but it was still available and I decided to Splurge on this one because I saw it a few days before my birthday... so it was a good time to splurge!

The main reason I decided to get this was because it did look so good in the box. I usually keep my pops out of box because I feel like it's hard to see all the details in the box... but this didn't have anything covering up Kevin's face or the house or anything- so it looked really good to me! The box actually has some decorations on it too... I'll show you what it looks like in and out of the box.

You can see how detailed and colorful Kevin and the Up House is! Kevin has some really pretty feathers on her back and you can see all the colors and shingles on the house really well. You can even see the hose on the house and the weathervane is a nice little detail too. It's just a really pretty Pop!

So I love this, and I'm happy that I was able to pick it up... there were quite a few when I got this one... so I feel like maybe you could wait for a sale or something if it isn't an absolute must have for you... but definitely pick it up if it's a must have for you! I wrote this a while ago so I'm sorry if you can't find it anywhere... I just wanted to share that with you guys!

Anyway- I hope you guys like this! Let me know what you think!
